In May 2021 we were at a campsite in Groesbeek in the Netherlands. On our last day, we went for a walk in the forest across the road. It was so beautiful there. It was hilly, we passed a meadow and later walked through a forest again. It almost looked like Germany. Suddenly I saw a tree with a hollow along the path.

In the tree lay a small stone and on it: ‘Embrace yourself.’ On the back of that stone, a rose was drawn. Lately, it has become popular to leave stones here and there with an inscription. This phenomenon is called: cool stone. Painting stones and little pebbles and placing them in nature. In the hope that someone else finds them and is cheered up by them.

I thought, ‘oh how beautiful!’ and actually wanted to take the stone with me immediately, but I decided to leave it so others could also have the chance to enjoy it. My husband was already some way further along the path, and I hurried to catch up with him. However, I kept thinking about the stone. ‘Embrace yourself’: that is from Jin Shin Jyutsu. The Big Hug. I decided that the stone was indeed meant for me. I had been given a sign in the form of the painted pebble. After all, am I not an enthusiastic Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner? The little stone would find a nice place in my treatment room.

And so I walked back to pick up the stone. The stone felt nice in my hand, and after a while, I put it in my backpack.
And now, the Big Hug of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a Japanese healing method where you can do a lot yourself. During a consultation, I always provide a little notebook that explains what you can do. Would you like a session too? Experience the difference.
